Insulated elbows are widely used in pipeline networks for the transportation of liquids and gases, as well as in thermal insulation projects for chemical pipelines, petroleum and chemical industries, district heating networks, central air-conditioning ventilation ducts, and pipeline bends in municipal infrastructure construction projects. Insulated pipes (including elbows, tees, and crosses) are prefabricated, directly buried insulated pipes that offer excellent thermal insulation performance, high safety and reliability, and low construction costs.
It effectively addresses a variety of issues in pipeline engineering—including thermal insulation for insulated pipes, insulation for bends, sliding lubrication, waterproofing and corrosion protection at exposed pipe ends and bent sections—in heating, cooling, thermal power, electric power, and chemical industries. Not only does it boast advanced technology and practical performance that are unmatched by conventional underground trench and overhead pipeline installations, but it also delivers significant social and economic benefits, particularly in the turning of insulated straight pipes.
The production workshop for polyurethane-insulated steel pipes must be kept clean and as dust-free as possible. The ambient environment and temperature should be maintained at around 28 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, the rigid polyurethane foam used in the production of polyurethane-insulated steel pipes exhibits a high closed-cell rate, reaching over 98%, thereby fully ensuring the excellent thermal insulation performance of these pipes.
During the installation of insulated elbows, avoid soaking them in groundwater or rainwater. If the ends accidentally get wet, they should be dried thoroughly before connecting the outer jacket.
Pipes should be stored on a level surface and stacked neatly, with a stacking height of less than 1.5 meters.
