How high a temperature can sleeve compensators withstand? In the pipeline industry, unidirectional sleeve compensators are widely popular. The sliding surfaces of unidirectional sleeve compensators undergo special treatment, giving them excellent corrosion resistance—typically in environments such as saltwater and saline solutions—often exceeding that of austenitic stainless steel by more than 50 times.
What is the maximum temperature that a sleeve compensator can withstand? In the pipeline industry, unidirectional sleeve compensators are widely popular. The sliding surfaces of unidirectional sleeve compensators undergo special treatments, giving them excellent corrosion resistance—typically in environments such as saltwater and saline solutions—often exceeding that of austenitic stainless steel by more than 50 times.

Together, when the sealing effect weakens due to wear after many years, the flange can be tightened again to enhance the sealing performance. Alternatively, the bolts can be loosened, the compression ring removed, and one or two additional sealing rings installed before re-tightening the compression ring for continued use. The inner sleeve of the unidirectional sleeve compensator is connected to the pipeline using a high-performance, self-pressurizing dynamic sealing principle and structure.
It can slide freely within the housing as the pipe expands and contracts, meeting the sealing requirements of any type of pipeline. The seal between the housing and the inner sleeve is made of composite materials that are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion, with an applicable temperature range from -40 to 150°C; under special conditions, this range can extend up to 350°C. This design ensures both axial movement and prevents leakage of the medium inside the pipe.
The unidirectional sleeve compensator is equipped with an anti-tear device that ensures it won't be pulled apart even when fully extended to its limit position, thereby significantly improving the overall operational reliability of the pipeline network. The unidirectional sleeve compensator is suitable for media with engineering pressures up to 2.5 MPa and media temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 600℃. The sealing material used in this unidirectional sleeve compensator is a flexible graphite ring, which features high strength, a low coefficient of friction (0.04–0.10), resistance to aging, excellent performance, and ease of maintenance.
