  1. Pipe supports, Support and hanger Installation Requirements

  1. The type, location, and height of pipe supports and hangers shall comply with the requirements of the design or relevant technical standards such as 05R417 “Indoor Pipe Hangers.”

  2. Pipe supports and hangers shall be securely anchored to the building structure without compromising its structural integrity.

  3. Reasonable spacing: In addition to supporting the weight of the pipeline, pipe supports and hangers also bear the weight of the water and insulation materials inside the pipeline.

II. Types of Duct Branch Pipe and Support/Hanger Installations

  1. Load-bearing, anti-shake pipeline rack

  (1) During the operation and shutdown of equipment in the machine room, the water flow in the pipes and equipment vibrations can cause significant shaking of the connecting pipes. The risers and main pipes in the machine room must withstand such shaking when the equipment is running; therefore, pipe racks should use suspension supports or floor-mounted, heavy-duty, vibration-resistant pipe racks.

  (2) If horizontal branches use single-rod lifts, load-bearing anti-vibration pipe supports must also be installed every 15 meters at the pipeline’s starting point, valves, elbows, and along the entire length.

  2. Vibration-damping pipe support

The host unit, pumps, and other equipment are the primary noise sources in air-conditioning water systems. To prevent noise and vibration from being transmitted through the piping, spring or rubber vibration-damping pipe supports should be used for pipes connected to these devices.

  3. Sliding supports and hangers.

  (1) Pipelines that experience displacement due to thermal expansion or cold contraction must be equipped with sliding supports.

  (2) The support brackets shall not interfere with the thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline. As the pipeline slides along the bracket beams or supports, the brackets or supports must not tilt horizontally, collapse, or become embedded in the pipeline.

  (3) For pipelines with thermal expansion, movable supports should be installed in the direction opposite to the displacement. The specific installation location can be determined based on design requirements or by installing them at half of the expected displacement.

  4. Guiding supports and hangers

  (1) Vertical risers within the shaft should be fitted with reverse导向 supports every two or three floors, ensuring that the supports are in close contact with the pipes.

  (2) The sliding surfaces of the rail brackets must not be skewed or detached.

III. Key Points for Pipeline Support and Hanger Installation

  1. Thermal insulation pads must be installed between the thermal insulation pipe and the branch pipes and hangers to prevent cold (or heat) from the pipe from being transferred through the supports and hangers, thereby avoiding loss of cold (or heat).

  2. The thermal insulation pad must be able to support the weight of the pipeline. While meeting fire safety requirements, it should be made of non-combustible or flame-retardant thermal insulation materials; typically, wood pads treated with anti-corrosion agents are used.

  3. The thickness of the thermal insulation pad should match the thickness of the insulation material, and its width should exceed the width of the support surface of the bracket.

  4. For connections between pipes and equipment, separately installed branch pipes and hangers should be used to prevent the weight of the pipes from being transferred to the equipment and causing damage.

  5. The eggplants and hangers must be in close contact with the pipes, and their installation must be smooth and secure.

The above are the requirements for the installation of pipe supports and hangers. We believe that after reading this article today, everyone will gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of the requirements for installing pipe supports and hangers.

What are the applications of maintenance-free, directly buried, unidirectional sleeve compensators?

What are the applications of maintenance-free, directly buried, unidirectional sleeve compensators? Maintenance-free, directly buried, unidirectional sleeve compensators have the following characteristics: Maintenance-free, directly buried, unidirectional sleeve compensators play an important role in many industrial fields. Different types of compensators have different application ranges and methods. Compensator joints are widely used in heating pipelines to prevent deformation and damage to these pipelines caused by thermal expansion or temperature-induced stresses during heating.

Introduction and Functions of Sleeve Compensators

A sleeve compensator, also known as a tubular expansion joint, consists primarily of a sleeve, a shell, and sealing materials. It is a type of compensator that is directly installed in any pipeline conveying non-corrosive fluids flowing in one or multiple directions. It is mainly used to absorb and compensate for axial thermal expansion displacements occurring downstream of linear pipeline auxiliary equipment.

Sleeve Compensator Instructions

Sleeve Compensator Instructions Sleeve compensator instructions: The sleeve compensator, also known as a pipe expansion joint or pipeline expansion joint, is a compensation device used in hot-fluid pipelines. It primarily serves as an auxiliary component for linear pipelines. It is suitable for media such as hot water, steam, and oils. The sliding sleeve compensates for thermal expansion by allowing the outer sleeve to slide relative to the inner sleeve.

How is the air tightness of a bellows compensator tested? What factors affect the service life of a bellows compensator?

How is the air tightness of bellows compensators tested? What factors affect the service life of bellows compensators? A bellows compensator with good air tightness will not leak the circulating medium and can absorb deviations in the pipeline. Therefore, high air tightness is a prerequisite for bellows compensators. So, how do manufacturers of bellows compensators test the air tightness of their products?
